Ingredients:

1. Chromium (Cr) - The primary alloying element that confers stainless properties to the steel by forming an invisible, self-repairing oxide layer on the surface which protects it from rust and corrosion.

2. Nickel (Ni) - Often added to create austenitic grades like 304 or 316. nickel enhances ductility, weldability, and resistance to corrosion, especially in acidic or chloride-rich environments.

3. Molybdenum (Mo) - Present in some grades such as 316L, molybdenum increases resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, particularly in harsh conditions.

4. Other elements - Depending on the grade, stainless steel flat bars may also contain carbon for strength, manganese for toughness, silicon for deoxidation, nitrogen for enhanced mechanical properties, and sometimes other metals like titanium or copper to tailor specific characteristics.
